What is the Hyperloop?

The Hyperloop will be the inter-city transportation system of the 21st century. Conceptualized by SpaceX and Tesla Motors’ CEO Elon Musk, the Hyperloop will move people and freight in a fast, safe, comfortable, and sustainable way.

It incorporates reduced-pressure tubes in which pressurized capsules (pods) ride on an air/magnetic cushions, driven by linear induction motors and air-compressors.
