Introducing Hyperloop Team Italia (HTI)
SpaceX started running open competitions (Hyperloop Pod Competitions), geared towards university students and independent engineering teams to design and build the best Hyperloop pod. To support this competitions, SpaceX has built a test track in California, where the Teams participating in these contests will be able to test their human-scale pods.
Based on the submissions' high-quality and the overwhelming enthusiasm surrounding the first competition, SpaceX is moving forward with the second edition of the competition: the Hyperloop Pod Competition II. The participation in the Hyperloop Competition II involves the design of an entire vehicle (Pod), and the contest will be focused on a single criterion: reaching the maximum speed.
The Hyperloop Team Italia initiative is promoted by Scuola Sant'Anna (one of the Italian leading universities) and Ales Tech (www.ales.tech), the Italian company that has created the first active suspension system for the Hyperloop.
Now the Team is evolving into an independent group of Italian students, focused to take part in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition II, set for Summer 2017.
At the present time, the Team is composed of approximately 30 students from several Italian Universities, but it wants to grow!
HTI is looking for motivated Engineering Students, but not exclusively. It is also including nontechnical figures, that will help in management issues.
