Ales Tech and Bitubo towards the future of transportation

In order to build the best possible suspensions systems, Ales Tech collaborates side by side with selected leading companies, within an Open Innovation framework. We do not see it as a simple sponsorship or partnership scheme, but as a joint investment towards a progressive technological improvement, made possible by Ales Tech's effort in combining and pushing suspensions technologies to new frontiers, domains and limits.

We are extremely happy to have Bitubo among our key technological partners. Founded in 1963, Bitubo manufactures innovative damping systems for multiple markets. Today their product range includes more than 1400 models, spanning from superbikes (two times Supersport World Champion), BSB, CIV, CEV, IDM and many other national championships around the world to custom motorcycles and scooters.

Although automotive is its core business, Bitubo offers his know-how and structure also to design suspensions for further applications, such as artificial limbs, seismic dampers, oceanic platforms, naval engines and nautical seats. Bitubo presented in 2012 the first ever semiactive electroleological system for suspension (ER) and its first system of adaptive suspension (DS).

Ales Tech partners with the Gatorloop team for the Hyperloop Pod Competition

Ales Tech is proud to announce its partnership with University of Florida's Hyperloop team "Gatorloop" for the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition.  Ales Tech will provide a small but very important part of the pod's system, the active suspensions modules.

“We are extremely happy to collaborate with the Gatorloop team in this pioneering adventure” say Luca Cesaretti and Lorenzo Andrea Parrotta, Ales Tech’s head engineers. “We are developing a unique design that is specifically tailored to the UF’s pod, applying our cutting-edge technology”. Ales Tech's active suspensions system is entirely design and manufactured in Italy.

Ales Tech is not new to the Hyperloop challenge. The company started its activity right after that a team of talented Italian engineers (among them Luca and Lorenzo) participated in the first part of the competition, last January (read Ales Tech story here). Through continuous innovation at the crossroads of mechanical and electronic engineering, Ales Tech’s mission is to design the best suspension systems for the Hyperloop.

Founded at the University of Florida, the Gatorloop team consists of 50+ undergraduate and graduate level engineering and business students focusing on different branches of the industry. This diversity solidifies the team because with a project as involved as the Hyperloop, there is always going to be an opportunity to utilize a member’s skills set. The UF team is also one of the most internationally diverse with members hailing from India, China, Russia, South Africa, Ecuador, and Colombia, and one of the teams with the highest number of female members. While the students may have different academic objectives, they all have one goal in common: to create the most functional, effective, and revolutionary Hyperloop pod system.
